We’ve been partners since 2017. And no, we do not have a team nickname.
I was cut from a whiskey soaked cloth in Harrisburg, PA. After failing out of West Virginia University and selling wedding gowns for a company that went bankrupt, I decided to give art school a go. Yada yada yada, here we are.
I am currently an SVP Group Creative Director at Le Truc, part of Publicis Groupe. Since 2023 I have led projects for Pepperidge Farm, Walgreens, Kimberly Clark, Quest Protein Snacks and Sam’s Club. Le Truc’s model is one that deploys creatives into any Publicis agency at any time to give a fresh point of view to a specific creative brief. In just under 3 years I have worked with over a dozen different agencies and over 20 different brands. I have led large teams, grown client relationships and also had the chance to get back in the weeds while creating work from start to finish. It has been rewarding, improved my ability to flex in every situation and just a touch chaotic.
Before Le Truc, I led creative teams at Arts & Letters. I ran Tito’s, Zola, Google and Amazon Pharmacy. I was responsible for the DIY January Tito’s film with Martha Stewart which gained national acclaim in 2023.
From 2015-2023 I found a home at Anomaly NY. During this time, I worked across multiple brands. Duracell, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Sonos, Google, Ally Bank and just about any brown liquor you can think of. While there, I created Jane Walker, won awards, built a nationwide IRL AR Monopoly game and managed a group of 20+ creatives and designers. I grew business, won business and fell in lockstep with internal and external teams and partners.
Prior to Anomaly, I spent 4+ years at Grey NY where I worked with regional, national and global brands such as Pringles, NFL, Gillette, and Direct TV. But most of my time was spent working on the award winning “Breathe Happy” campaign for Febreze. I have sent many unsuspecting, blindfolded people into really sketchy places. I don’t think you could get away with this now.
My career started at Harrisburg and Philadelphia based Neiman Group where I cut her teeth on Capital Blues Cross, The Pennsylvania Liquor control board and Troegs Beer.
When I am not saving the world with marketing, I’m cooking, eating, wearing hats, seeing a show or traveling. Often at the same time.
Important stuff you should know about me:
My jaw can physically hold only 31 teeth (most people have 32).
I picked up a pair of chopsticks before I ever held a spoon.
I am a distant relative of Freddie Mercury.
My last name is Engineer and my mother is a doctor.
So that makes my mother- Dr. Engineer.
My father named a tug boat after me. Vahbiz's length is 31 meters, has a fuel capacity of 80 cubic meters and sails the Pacific Ocean.
